Overview

Being a big island, Phuket is surrounded by many magnificent Beaches such as Rawai, Patong, Karon, Kamala, Kata Yai, Kata Noi, and Mai Khao. Laem Phromthep viewpoint is said to feature the most beautiful sunsets in Thailand. It is not all just beaches though, there is also fantastic classical architecture such as the Goom Restaurant. That and the very welcome atmosphere and the famous Phuket NIGHTLIFE, you can see why the island is a hotspot for tourists in Thailand.

Itinerary

Day 1

This pier is situated amidst a community of local seafaring people who trawl and fish for their livelihood, and you will find a line of both fishing boats and ferries moored close to the shore most of the time. These local boats are used to ferry Island hopping tourists around the local islands like Ko Lon, Ko He, Ko Bon, Ko Racha and Ko Kaeo Phitsadan for reasonable rental fees. The Beach itself is lined with resorts, beach huts and simple restaurants offering ultra fresh seafood.

Day 2

Located north of Patong Beach is a secluded beach dotted with rocks and coral reefs. Accommodations and restaurants are available. Another interesting stopover is Freedom Beach which is located around the head of Laem Ka Sai Rot and is accessible by a chartered long-tailed Boat.

A small Beach located north of Patong beach is home to a bunch of resorts and beach clubs. Dotted with rocks and coral reefs, Kalim is not ideal for swimming as much as its neighbor Patong Beach. A nearby attraction worth a stopover is the Freedom Beach, an unspoiled beach with white, powdery sand located just around the head of Laem Ka Sai Rot that is only accessible by a chartered long-tailed Boat.

Day 3

The 200-metre-long stretch of sand is known to locals as Haad Hin Gluai, or Banana Rock Beach, for the shape of a rock formation jutting out of the sea on the bay’s south end. It’s found along Phuket’s west coast between Nai Thon and Bang Tao beaches, about half a kilometre north of Trisara.

Life at Banana Beach is significantly more rustic than its nearby celebrity holiday enclave, with a single restaurant run by a local family serving fresh seafood on plastic tables set on the sand under shaded tree cover. Prices at the restaurant are not so cheap however, with dishes costing 100 baht up, but the view is divine. The family has a monopoly on commercial activities here, also renting out sun beds for 100 baht a day and offering fishing and beach-hopping trips on its longtail boat through the high season months of November through April.

Day 4

On the northeastern side of Phuket, this national park comprises of a coastal pine forest, 13km of white sand Beaches spread across Hat Mai Khao, Hat Nai Yang and other smaller bays, and expansive coral reef. Hat Mai Khao is particularly impressive and is popular with tourists due to its expanse of fine sand. Another draw for visitors is watching the planes as they descend towards the runway and pass over the beach and the northern section of the beach is looked after by The National Parks association due to it being a nesting area for Local sea turtles. Nai Yang beach is a vast swathe of sand, shaded by pine trees and lined with Accommodation and restaurants. Visitors here can swim, chill or pitch their tent beachfront, under the stars.

Day 5

The beautiful and secluded Freedom Beach is an anomaly. It is one of the prettiest beaches in Phuket, with incredibly soft white sand and clear blue waters. It is just a few minutes away from Patong Beach, the busiest beach on the island and yet, it is surprisingly peaceful and quiet

Day 6

‘Peranakan’ is a Malay word literally meaning “born here” and was initially used to describe mixed-race Chinese inhabitants with foreign fathers and local mothers. For example, Javi Peranakarn people are the descendants of original Indian settlers, and the Babha community are the descendants of the original Hokkien Chinese settlers. The building that houses the museum was constructed in the time when the provincial government was headed by Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahitsaraphakdi (Korsimby Na Ranong) and was converted to an arts and cultural center illustrating the lifestyles and local customs of Phuket and its people through modern technological media.
